Had my First Free hand writing yesterday...
I was quite look forward for this lesson...
then, on the start of the lesson whereby no one brings any art
materials (*Drawing board, pencils etc) to the class thus
the lecturer wants us to go to the bookshop to get our stuffs.
so went to the bookstore, have to buy a A2 size drawing board,
pencils (2B, 6B, 8B etc...), a soft eraser, a sketch book, a at least 40cm
ruler. Total about a person will spend $10.50...
OMG... being to regret taking this CDS whereby CDS like
UIR (Using Internet as a Research Tool), do not need to spend a single cent.
went back to the class and have a brief on what type of assignment is needed
to be done to pass this subject..
Assignment included :
- Must Draw 20 prefect sketches
- Must draw a camera or a mechanical object on a A2 size drawing board.
After hearing all this, I'm more regret as I felt it was so time consuming.
first, I already had Major Project and a elective subject 3D which both are
time comsuming subject. With free hand together, I had no confident that I could
able to handle.... Arggg... But it was too late !!
so on the first lesson, we were ask to told to fill the on this A2 drawing board
with circle on one side and lines on another side.
One thing special about this lecturer is that she was able to tell what kind of
person you are by looking at your drawing.
so when she saw my drawing, the first thing she ask me
"did you notice the way you draw?"
then she started saying that I actually drew very well but she notice that I don't
really put an effort to draw it well.
And she was right... I wasn't in the mood to draw when I kept thinking about how I'm going to cope with all these time consuming sbject.
She knew it and ask me if I wanted to pass and I nod my head. I was surprise that she somehow knew about it. we had some talk about this and she said that if I had put effort for my assignment, like eg if i had draw a few sketches with effort on, she will sure pass me. And of course I promise her. hehe...
Actually I felt that free hand writing was fun and if not for the time constraint
I am willing to take the effort to learn the drawing well.
Now just hope that the eveything will go smooth...
